COVID-19 Policy

In order to offer a safe and accessible environment for our membership, Smofcon 41 has established a policy regarding the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Given the surge in cases in 2024 and the history of spikes in cases each December, we are obliged to have a policy. With some governments no longer providing or updating vaccination status, it would be impractical for us to request proof of vaccination, but we can specify the following:

Members will be required to wear PPE masks in convention program rooms (and in the corridor outside).

We recommend that members wear face masks in the hospitality con suite except when they are seated and eating or drinking.

This policy will allow members with respiratory, immune-compromised, or other health issues to attend the convention in a reasonably safe way. This policy is part of our Code of Conduct. If you have questions, you may contact our Chair.
