How Cool Is Seattle? This year’s Smofcon is being held in SeaTac, a suburb of Seattle, WA. SeaTac has grown around the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport due to the amount of air travel that happens in Seattle. Not only is our location very convenient to the airport, it’s also on the light rail line into Seattle. Seattle is the premier destination city of the Pacific Northwest, a center of technology, aerospace, commerce, entertainment and of course, coffee. Seattle is an outward-focused community known for progressive values, great dining and occasional showers. Smofcon is an global gathering of convention organizers in the scienc fiction, fantasy, and related communities (gaming, filking, costuming, horror, etc.) held annually in different cities. We have panels and workshops on programming, hotels, registration, budgets, masquerades, and other convention functions. Smofcon was held in 2019 in Albuquerque, online in 2020, in Lisbon in 2021, and in Montreal in 2022.
